NEW SCHEMES FOR GRADUATES IN 2017
We have a new commercial awareness programme beginning in Summer 2017. This is designed for law graduates who want to get their training contract the smart way. Working with us on internal rotations and on contract with Tlam Paralegals, will demonstrate your commercial acumen.
We are increasingly recruiting school leavers who are ready to enter the working world. We also believe that joining Tlam will give you the best platform to progress into a career in accounting.
Tlam offers funding for your accounting courses and additional guidance through working at Tlam with our experienced cashiers.
All school leaver roles are offered through the government apprenticeship
scheme and all applications will be considered with our full attention.
International Law with a year abroad, Lancaster University. Petra is one of our graduate legal cashiers with expertise in private and legal aid billing. Her expertise in legal accounts ranges from preparing billing from scratch to submitting legal claims to the Legal Aid Association and courts. Aside from legal cashiering, Petra has a background in international pro-bono work and placements having studied and worked in Norway, Italy and Thailand. She is now due to start her LPC course later this year alongside continuing to work at Tlam, broadening her commercial knowledge of legal financial management.
Law, University of Bristol LLM LPC. Wasim initially joined Tlam in 2013, to join the legal cashiering team with the aim of gaining experience in the legal industry but outside the profession. Wasim left the following year to complete his LLM LPC and then rejoined Tlam in 2015 after having secured a training contract at a top tier law firm due to start in 2017. Through legal accounting, Tlam is continuing to supply Wasim with commercial awareness, a highly sought after attribute solicitors look for in training contract applications. Having worked alongside our clients and their partners, Wasim has become one of our most clinical legal cashiers, preparing him to become a real asset to the legal profession.
A-Levels: Business Studies, Mathematics and Geography, BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration (QCF), NVQ Diploma In Business Administration (QCF), AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting. In the process of completing AAT level 3 Diploma in Accounting. Before joining Tlam, George was involved with the administration of a small practice in Gloucestershire. Training to be an accountant, George’s study-time and fees are sponsored by our apprenticeship scheme. Currently working at Tlam as a legal cashier, George is involved with our international billing processes, ledger postings and analysis and credit control.

What we are looking for:
- Qualified and experienced management accountant interested in running more than one legal practice from our London Office.
- Experience in the legal sector is desirable.
- ICAEW and CIMA (attractive) or ACCA (experience depending).
